The Dual Pump LD Driver (DPLDD) module is an efficient module which can drive various kinds of pump laser diode for the pumping source of fiber laser, EDFA and ASE broadband source. This module has two LD connectors for installing two 14-pin butterfly type package LD simultaneously. This feature helps users get rid of the in efficiency of purchasing expensive application-specific pumping source modules. This module can be used as the high power LD driver for SLED sources, SOA modules and fiber laser seed source LDs and also be used as the driver for driving the different two kinds of LD individually in one board.
By monitoring internal PD of LD and operating high performance processor installed on the module, the output power and temperature of pump LD can be driven accurately and stably. This module also can output up to 1.2A bias current at each channel, so can driver two 750mW pump LD.
The DPLDD module can be controlled and monitored through the Graphic User Interface (GUI) on a remote PC which is connected via a USB2.0. This module can also be controlled by using the rotary knob on the board.
