The Analog LD Driver (ALDD) module is an efficient module for the seed source driver and the TE cooled laser applications. This ALDD module is the laser driver that can convert the input electric pulse to the output optical pulse, it can be used as a short pulse laser driver, a high power pump LD driver or an SLED broadband source driver.
The peak current is generated proportionally up to 2.5A according to the externally supplied pulse, and its gain is adjusted by an on-board potentiometer. The current pulse width can be controlled by an externally supplied pulse. The main feature of the ALDD is that it can output the various shape of laser pulses according to the shape of the supplied pulses. The ALDD module can generate very short optical pulse down to 5ns width in the repetition rate up to 50MHz. By using the LD temperature monitoring and the TE cooler function of this module, the temperature of LD can be controlled stably by an on-board potentiometer.
