SOA Driver slot module of FOTS system offers a special function that changes the amplification feature of input optical signal variously, by dynamically driving a built-in SOA module. This SOA Driver is an efficient module that can drive a high gain and low noise amplifier stably and modulate a high power amplified signal up to the rate of 155 Mbps. As a high power amplifier, this module drives the maximum amplified power of more than 10 dBm and has a stable broadband source characteristics of > 0 dBm. As a high-speed modulator of amplified signal combined with high current (400 mA) modulation technique, it outputs a high power and high bit rate amplified signal of > 155 Mbps with > 10 dBm peak power.

The unique solution of high power amplifier with high-speed modulation function provides the wide range of applications. Using the internal high-speed processor and PRBS pattern generation circuitry, this module can be an ideal solution for FTTx-PON network test. By interchanging installed SOA, this module can support a various wide range amplifier from 900nm to 1700nm.
